My Blog.My Life

You've probably noticed the new "ornament" decorating my blog. The abnormal (and vain) guy with a red shirt holding a camera in that photo is me. The photo was taken when my family and I went strolling around the Causeway Bay area in Hong Kong. I was looking for some interesting things to shoot when I noticed this shiny door on the side of a building. I then got the idea to use that door as a mirror to take a picture of me. In the past, my siblings and I have made self-portraits like that using mirrors we found around the house. The great thing about this photo is that it's very different from the other self-portraits that we've made in the past. While our past self-portraits only feature ourselves, this one also features other people, people I don't even know. Also, this photo has a slightly blurry texture as opposed to our other self-portraits which are very crisp and clear. Overall, I love this photo. It's a break from the almost monotonous style of self-portraits that my siblings and I make.
